On April 24, 2025, the College of Criminology of Tomas Claudio Colleges conducted a community outreach program titled “Kalusugan at Kaligtasan sa Tag-Araw: Kamalayan sa mga Sakit Tuwing Tag-init at Pag-iwas sa Sunog” in Barangay San Guillermo, Morong, Rizal. The initiative aimed to raise awareness on heat-related illnesses and fire prevention, helping residents protect their health and ensure safety during the summer season.

The outreach featured an informative lecture by Dr. Antonio R. Mateo, who discussed the symptoms of heat exhaustion, heat cramps, and heat stroke, along with practical tips on proper hydration and first-aid response. A fire prevention orientation was also conducted, covering the safe use of electrical appliances, kitchen safety practices, emergency evacuation procedures, and household fire safety planning.

Residents actively participated in hands-on demonstrations and engaged in meaningful discussions with students, while TCC faculty ensured the smooth implementation of the program. Informational materials were distributed to help the community continuously practice the safety measures discussed.

Through this initiative, the College of Criminology reaffirms its commitment to public safety, health awareness, and community service, empowering residents with the knowledge and skills needed to face the summer season safely and responsibly.
