TCC Supreme Student Council Hosts Heartwarming Gift-Giving Event at National Children’s Hospital

Updated: 5 days ago

The TCC Supreme Student Council of Leaders, in collaboration with various student organizations, successfully held a heartwarming gift-giving event on December 23, 2024, at the National Children’s Hospital in Quezon City. This meaningful initiative, conducted just two days before Christmas, brought joy and hope to 50 children bravely battling cancer, reflecting TCC’s unwavering commitment to its vision, mission, and core values.

Guided by the vision of being a leading community-based institution that champions academic excellence, social advancement, and the internationalization of education, this event was a testament to the spirit of compassion and social responsibility that TCC seeks to instill in its students. By extending care and support to the children and their families, the event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of giving back to the community, especially during the Christmas season.

This endeavor also aligns with TCC’s objective of training and molding young men and women to become responsible citizens who actively contribute to both the nation and the global community. Through this act of kindness, TCC students demonstrated how the art and science of knowledge utilization can be applied to foster positive change. As these 50 young cancer patients received not just gifts but also love and encouragement, this initiative underscored TCC’s mission to produce globally competitive graduates who embody empathy, compassion, and the true spirit of service.

With the SSCL and representatives of the different organizations, Dr. Catherine Dungca, Head of the Student Affairs, and Prof. Luz Soriano, SSCL Adviser, were also present to support the event.
