On May 6, 2025, the College of Criminology of Tomas Claudio Colleges (TCC) conducted a seminar on the Safe Spaces Act (Republic Act No. 11313) at Barangay San Guillermo, Morong, Rizal. The activity aimed to promote gender equality and raise awareness on protecting individuals from harassment in public spaces.

The seminar emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of respect, dignity, and equality for all, regardless of gender. It highlighted the role of communities, institutions, and individuals in creating safe and inclusive environments.

Atty. Magno Delos Santos served as the resource speaker, providing in-depth discussion on the legal provisions of the Safe Spaces Act and its significance in addressing gender-based harassment in public areas such as streets, public transportation, schools, and workplaces.

The event was attended by College of Criminology students, faculty, and staff, as well as residents of Barangay San Guillermo, who actively participated in discussions about their rights under the law and their shared responsibility in building a safer community.

This initiative reinforced TCC’s commitment to gender equality, social justice, and quality education. Through the seminar, the College of Criminology empowered both students and community members to advocate for safe spaces and uphold the principles of respect, equality, and justice for all genders.
