Tomas Claudio Colleges proudly congratulates Dr. Melbert Reyes, faculty member of the College of Nursing, on his recent designation by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as the first member of the Continuing Professional Development Council (CPDC) for Nursing.
Dr. Reyes, along with other newly appointed council members, officially took his oath of office on September 15, 2025, at the PRC office in Morayta, Manila.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is the government agency responsible for regulating and licensing various professions in the Philippines, ensuring the competency, integrity, and continuous development of Filipino professionals.
The Continuing Professional Development Council (CPDC) plays a crucial role in upholding professional excellence by ensuring that practitioners maintain and enhance their knowledge, skills, and ethical standards throughout their careers. As a CPDC member, Dr. Reyes will be instrumental in shaping national CPD policies and programs for the nursing profession.
Prior to this prestigious appointment, Dr. Reyes also served as President of the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA), the accredited professional organization for nurses in the country. His exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to nursing continue to inspire future generations of Filipino healthcare professionals.
