Following the series of strong earthquakes recently felt across the Philippines, Tomas Claudio Colleges (TCC) reaffirmed its commitment to safety by conducting an Earthquake and Fire Drill on November 14, 2025 (Friday).
Guided by the nationwide call for preparedness highlighted by the National Earthquake Drill of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), the activity aimed to strengthen the Claudian community’s readiness in the event of emergencies. Earthquake and fire drills play a vital role in teaching individuals how to respond quickly, calmly, and safely, reducing risks and ensuring proper evacuation procedures.
The Claudian community actively participated in the drill, which was conducted in partnership with the Morong Bureau of Fire Protection. The exercise demonstrated unity, discipline, and cooperation among students, faculty, and staff.
A safety seminar followed the drill, reinforcing essential emergency protocols and reminding participants of the importance of the “duck, cover, and hold” technique during earthquakes, as well as proper actions during fire incidents.
This initiative strongly reflects TCC’s mission and core values.
Trustworthiness was shown by prioritizing the safety and well-being of every Claudian.
Commitment was evident through proactive disaster preparedness efforts.
Competence was reinforced by equipping participants with practical knowledge and confidence in handling emergency situations.
Through this activity, TCC once again affirmed that preparedness is not merely a practice but a shared responsibility—one that protects, strengthens, and unites the entire community.
