Embarking on a mission to empower and educate, the TCC Family Planning Program, themed “Pag may Plano, Panalo!”, unfolded on February 29, 2024, at Barangay San Guillermo, Morong, Rizal. This meaningful initiative aimed to promote awareness, responsibility, and informed decision-making on reproductive health within the community.
The program was conducted under the dedicated guidance of Dean Prof. Perlita S. Santiago of the College of Nursing and Dr. Andrea Diane Bernabe, Coordinator of TCC–Community Extension Services, with the enthusiastic participation of faculty members, staff, and students from the College of Nursing.
The primary beneficiaries of the outreach were reproductive-age residents of Barangay San Guillermo, in collaboration with the barangay leadership under Hon. Radney Alejandro San Luis, Barangay Captain. The partnership highlighted a shared commitment to community health and family well-being.
The activity featured a concise yet comprehensive presentation on the various family planning and contraception methods available, serving not only as an information session but also as a platform for open dialogue, understanding, and responsible decision-making regarding reproductive health.
Following the presentation, the TCC team provided personalized consultations, ensuring that information was tailored to individual needs. This was complemented by the responsible and sensitive administration of contraceptives, promoting accessibility, choice, and dignity for all participants.
More than a one-day outreach, the program served as a stepping stone toward building healthier, informed, and empowered families. “Pag may Plano, Panalo!” symbolizes not only success in family planning but a collective victory in securing a brighter, healthier future for the community.
Thank you for joining us in making a difference. 💚
