Tomas Claudio Colleges Hosts Wadhwani Job Ready Orientation for Graduating Students

On March 5, 2026, Tomas Claudio Colleges conducted the Job Ready: Employability Skills – Student Orientation and Onboarding in partnership with the Wadhwani Foundation at the D.H. Soriano Multimedia Hall (AVR). The activity gathered graduating students from various academic programs as part of the institution's commitment to preparing learners for successful careers beyond the classroom.
The Wadhwani Foundation is a global non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening employability, entrepreneurship, and digital skills through innovative learning programs. Its Job Ready Program equips students with essential workplace competencies, including communication, professionalism, critical thinking, collaboration, and career preparedness.
The orientation introduced students to the objectives and framework of the program, which aims to develop the mindset and practical skills needed to transition confidently from academic life to the professional world. Through structured modules and learning activities, participants will enhance their adaptability and readiness to meet the expectations of today's evolving workforce.
The event was attended by Chief Academic Officer Dr. Eva De Rosas, Dr. Ruel Manalo, Dean of the College of Education and Liberal Arts, Dr. Charisse Vedaña, Dean of the College of Criminology, and Dr. Lalaine Toriado, Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy, together with faculty members and fourth-year students from different college programs.
Serving as the guest speaker, Mr. Edward Shiener Landay shared valuable insights on the importance of employability skills, emphasizing that professional success is built not only on academic achievement but also on effective communication, teamwork, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.
Through initiatives such as the Wadhwani Job Ready Program, Tomas Claudio Colleges continues to strengthen its mission of producing globally competitive graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to thrive in their chosen professions and contribute meaningfully to society.
