TCC College of Law to Host Seminar on Gender-Based Laws and Youth Advocacy

The Tomas Claudio Colleges – College of Law will hold a seminar titled “Gender-Responsive Claudians: A Symposium on Gender-Based Laws and the Youth’s Role in Gender Mainstreaming” on March 28, 2025, at the TCC CHARM Function Hall.
This seminar aims to empower students and raise awareness on gender equality, emphasizing the vital role of the youth in shaping and influencing gender-responsive legal frameworks and social policies.
Key discussions will cover important and timely topics, including:
Basic concepts of gender and its impact on society
The Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313) and its role in creating safer environments for all
The Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act and the Anti-Bullying Act, focusing on youth-related legal concerns
These topics are designed to equip students with the knowledge and perspective needed to advocate for inclusivity, prevent violence, and support the rights and interests of vulnerable sectors within society.
